The Wild Rumpus World Circus!
In 2001, professional clown, actor and juggler Jacob Mills and dancer, aerialist and stilt walker Marcia Miquelon combined forces to offer the first "Let the Wild Rumpus Begin!" circus arts day camps in Mazomanie. In 2009, the Wild Rumpus World Circus began touring internationally, and has delighted audiences in the US, the Middle East and Europe by speaking the universal language of laughter and offering a hands-on experience which engages the imagination.
World Famous clown Alfredo Tortellini is our horn-juggling host for a lively and engaging performance. Combine hilarious clowning with aerial artistry, fantastic stilt characters with mask theater and rapid fire juggling, and watch the Wild Rumpus (and the laughter) ensue.
After the show is over, audience members may have the opportunity to sample a few of the following: juggling, balancing, acrobatics, physical comedy, pantomime, mask theater and (where riggable) low-flying trapeze. We can teach short-format workshops for groups of up to thirty, full or multiple-day residencies for entire student bodies.
Our approach to promoting confidence and cooperation is action based: we emphasize focused development of circus skills while having fun together. Whether the skill at hand is balance, coordination, strength, flexibility or creative expression, students gain self-esteem, learn valuable lessons about teamwork and tolerance, and develop their physical and mental agility. We believe that everyone can benefit from laughter, working together, and turning themselves upside down. We have firsthand knowledge of Circus’ ability to promote understanding and to transcend barriers of language and culture. And we provide a safe and supportive environment in which to try new things, take risks, and learn to trust one’s self and others.
